STUDENT EMERGENCY RELIEF FUND
The Student Emergency Relief Fund provides grants to students in times of need, helping cover the cost of food, supplies, groceries, rent, car repairs, and other life events that could otherwise sidetrack a student’s education.
A Campus Climate Survey conducted by the Clarke Student Life Office found that nearly 40% of student respondents had lived with food insecurity of some kind, and roughly 10% faced housing insecurity. Last year, $16,985 assisted 137 students facing extreme circumstances, with an average award amount of $124. In the Fall 2024 semester $11,956 was spent to support student emergency needs.
For many, emergency funds could mean the difference between a healthy meal, a safe place to sleep at night, and staying in school. What may seem like a small gift can relieve a tremendous burden for a student and signify that the Clarke community is there for them no matter what.
Help support students in need with a gift to The Student Emergency Relief Fund.
